Calm Cohesion

This stunning new build is located in Raglan, New Zealand with views through the neighbouring Pohutukawa trees & out to the water beyond. It features a calm & natural palette with Vida Space Manhattan Oak veneer & textured Dekton benching & splashbacks in Liquid Shell as the key materials in the kitchen, & this continues to the laundry & vanities for cohesion. The kitchen features a clever butlers pantry that is concealed with bi-folding Hawa Concepta pocket doors by Hafele, allowing the unit to be easily accessible when open with door swing eliminated. Blum Servo Drive Hardware allows for a sleek & elegant aesthetic, & the bar nook offers a practical space to prepare drinks with a clever integrated cool drawer for multipurpose beverage storage. The blackened brass steel clad island enhances the warmth of the Oak cabinetry, & this finish is also seen on the Hex handles & pendant lighting by Powersurge. The induction downdraft hob was placed on the island to allow our clients to connect with guests & also take in the stunning views, & the built in downdraft removes the need for a rear riser or suspended rangehood.

This project was a finalist in the 2021 Interior Awards.
